Legacy Handhelds
Warranty & Repair Support
Defect-Related Returns: 14 Days From Delivery
If a refurbished PSP arrives nonfunctional or materially differs from its description, contact Legacy Handhelds to request a defect-related return within 14 calendar days of delivery. We will assess the issue and explain the applicable repair, replacement or refund options. This 14-day initial return-request period does not shorten the separate one-year workmanship warranty for qualifying faults discovered later, or any rights that apply by law.
One-Year Workmanship Warranty
Legacy Handhelds backs every refurbished PSP we sell with a one-year workmanship and refurbishment warranty.
If your unit develops a problem within one year because of our refurbishment or build work, contact us. We will work with you to repair the unit or provide a working replacement.
The warranty does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, misuse, neglect, or damage caused by later repair or modification unrelated to our work. A damaged or missing Legacy Handhelds tamper-evident service seal does not automatically cancel warranty coverage, but it may require us to inspect the system to determine the cause of a failure.
The Legacy Promise: Ongoing Upgrade Support
Your registered unit stays connected to Legacy Handhelds beyond its workmanship warranty, and this service relationship follows the unit to its next owner.
When you return your unit for an upgrade, you can supply a compatible part of your own or have us supply it at our landed cost, with no parts markup. You pay for any parts we supply, installation labor, and shipping. We confirm compatibility, available options, and the quote before work begins.
This ongoing upgrade support is separate from the workmanship warranty and does not extend or restart its coverage period.
Every completed repair or upgrade includes a new one-year warranty covering the workmanship we perform and replacement parts we supply and install. For customer-supplied parts, coverage applies to our installation workmanship, not defects in the part. Unrelated components keep their existing warranty dates.
Repair and upgrade availability depends on parts availability and the condition of the device.
Requesting Service
You can request repairs or upgrades from your unit’s Legacy Record. Open your record and choose “Request a repair or upgrade” to prepare an email with your Unit ID included. Describe the issue or desired changes and attach any helpful photos before sending. We’ll review your request and confirm options and estimated charges before work begins.
